Below are the sanctioned events planned for the Western Province,

A sanctioned event is where a governing body (Western Province Triathlon) assists in the technical aspects of the event. WPTA Provides race officials to ensure an atmosphere of sportsmanship, equality and fair play.

It is not the responsibility of WPTA to host events. If you feel that there are not enough events or that they are not suitable, please contact or query with your club. WPTA Affiliated Clubs are encouraged to host at least one event per season. National events such as the Teavigo Duathlon series, Xterra, 11 global and BSG dEnergade are normally arranged by TSA and managed by WPTA together with the local representative of that event.
