Dawid Visser Race was great, well organized and didn’t hear anything bad about it from anyone. One big positive I heard from my wife and friends is that the sponges was a great plus for the race and was appreciated greatly as you know it always gets extremely hot at Mykonos. Not necessarily a bad thing, but some mentioned not seeing the draft buster; I assured them that they were there. Also someone asked how you know if everyone did all the turns as there wasn’t anyone checking at the turn points on the run. I said that its up to every persons own conscience not to cheat and report if they see cheating.Thanks again to you and the crew for putting on a great race. P.S. thanks for making the run course hard, although I had a bad run, but it’s my strong leg, BEWARE! -

Rowan Le Roux I hear that you put on a spectacular event on the weekend – WELL DONE.  From all the athletes that were there that I have spoken to I have only heard good things

Brendon L thought it was a good event, I believe you had an issue with marshalls, possibly why the 2 hill turn arounds were’nt “manned” on the run leg, but that’s to be understood. Swim: Too many corners, it felt like one could never really get a good break away from the group. Bike: Enjoyed it, get into a good gear and pace yourself without getting carried away with the flats… Run: I struggled a bit with the hills, basically half the run was hills. I know you suggested that the only alternative would be 4 loops… All in all, I enjoyed it – my first race up in Mykonos and with great weather, was a good weekend all round!

Bernard Wyatt I would like to congratulate you and your team for putting on a great event on Saturday.
I know all the hard work that goes into staging such and event and was there on Friday to witness the physical labor that was put in by all.

Debbie Dear WPTA Triathlon Family,

I want to say congratulations for a job extremely well done and a very big thank you to each one of you for your contribution to the sport, your province and yesterday's event.
The organization and team work was excellent and in my opinion, it was a great success.
I am so proud of all of you and I am especially proud of the WPTA leadership (Paul, Tony and Wane). You guys ROCK!!! you have taken triathlon in the Western Cape to new heights and for that I am eternally grateful.

I know, from experience that running any sport at a provincial/national level is not easy, nor is it easy hosting events of such magnitude with only a handful of volunteers, in fact it is damn tough.
So thank you a million times over for the sacrifices you and your families make in the name of TRIATHLON.

Martie Thank you very much for all the effort and time you put into triathlon.
The race on Saturday was again a winner and well organised. Thanks for all the marshals and the referees and everyone who made the day for our athletes easy.
I know it is a hard job and there is always people complaining ect ect.
But never forget that there are a lot of our tri athlete’s that appreciate every effort and time that you guys put into organising such a big event.
It is you that make it possible for us to compete and enjoy the day with our fellow athletes and family.

Never been so poked in my life - the heat was insane, felt like I was doing a triathlon in a sauna.

J Wano - awesome event. It was flawless.
My sister who is at pretty much every major international event said this was world class.
Clear transition (although I still managed to go down the wrong shoot), plenty space and clear marshalling.

WPTA has raised the bar for everyone to follow.

A gold star for each of you.
